Old Bean
Celebrating the Heartwarming Community at Old Bean Coffee Shop
Every morning, like clockwork, I am greeted with a steaming cup of coffee brought to me by my wonderful husband, Grant. This daily ritual is more than just a caffeine fix; it represents our connection to our community, made even more special by the charming details on the cup from our local, the Old Bean coffee shop. Nestled in the block of shops opposite the Mooloolaba Surf Club, Old Bean is a small but mighty haven for coffee lovers, where the staff’s dedication to spreading kindness truly makes a difference in their customers' day.
At Old Bean, it’s not just about the coffee, although their brews are exceptional. If you are lucky, your cup will come like mine do, adorned with love hearts and little notes of kindness, thanks to the thoughtful staff. Emma and Kellsie are especially known for these delightful additions to my coffee cups. Their handwritten messages bring a smile to my face even before I take my first sip.
Old Bean’s manager, Shelley, and the rest of her team —Dylan, Lateisha, Eboni, Pav, Kira, Jess, Kailey, and Ella—are equally lovely and are known to spread the same kindness and smiles to all their customers. The staff at Old Bean have a unique way of connecting with both locals and tourists, using coffee and kindness as their medium.
There’s something truly special about sitting with your coffee and watching the world go by, or striking up a conversation with a fellow customer. At Old Bean, someone is always ready to chat, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home. In the hustle and bustle of our resort town, these little gems of connectedness are worth celebrating.
So, next time you’re near the Mooloolaba Surf Club, take a moment to pop into the Old Bean coffee shop. Enjoy a cup of their delicious coffee, say hi to the staff, and become a part of the beautiful community they’ve created.
